Five Star Challenge
September – October
We all know that stars symbolize many things including reaching for the stars, doing something well the quality of a hotel or meal and a peaceful night under the starry sky.
WHO: open to all members of the guild
WHAT: design & stitch a project that includes five (5) stars.
WHEN: The projects can be revealed on line on our private page at any time or displayed at the October general meeting, October 5
HOW: The stars can be pieced, paper or paperless pieced, appliqued, modern freehand curves, embroidered, abstract or a combination of all. All materials will have to come from your stash. The project can be in one piece – pillow top, wall hanging, placemat or even a quilt. The other option is to make 5 pot holders, mini wall hangings or mug rugs each with one or two stars (total of 5 or more stars).
WHY: sometimes we just need a little project to get the ideas flowing. This is also an opportunity to support ongoing community projects of the guild – placemats and pillowcases or make something special for friends or family.
